This Aran child's sweater, much loved (and well worn!) had multiple stains and holes with the elbows needing complete re-knitting to close the massive holes.
After finding a shade of wool to match, the broken stitches are gathered and knitting with needles is done.

We hid this rip in a headboard insert with a cloth binding tape that complimented the pattern...
We repeated the steps on the opposite, undamaged side to maintain symmetry.
Back in service!
This ring bearer's pillow from the 1920's had dry-rot on the lace due to improper storage.
While it remains fragile... with some gently applied stitches, (and the bearer wearing gloves!)...
...it can give a few more generations of service with careful handling.
